Vamos a comenzar el estudio de la cultura de lugares donde hablan espanol hoy.  Comenzaremos los estudios con Espana.

Por favor toma las mapas de Espana que les prepare.  Notan que las divisiones o estados autonomas son egual a los "states" de los estados unidos.

Toma un rato para buscar una mapa online que muestra donde se encuentra Espana.  Que paises estan cerca a Espana, que mares, que oceanos.  Marquen estas cosas en tu papel.

Vamos a comenzar estudiando Andalucia, en el sur de Espana.  Tienen otros papeles que muestran otras divisiones (like counties) en Andalucia.  Tambien puedes ver ciudades principales, rios, montana, etc.

Ahora que sabes un poco de Andalucia, es tu turno para preparar informacion especifica de algo relacionado con Andalucia.  Escoje uno de las temas abajo. (make sure nobody else chooses the same one as you!)

Once you choose a topic. Comment below.  First to comment on a topic gets it.  If someone else has chosen what you wanted, choose something else.

You will take your topic and begin preparing a presentation for the class to help show us what you learned.  Here are the guidelines.
1- We want to see it-  there has to be a lot of visual in your presentation.  We want to see what you have studied.
2- Presentations will be in Spanish, although you can use note cards.  The length is "complete."  Focus on doing a good job, not filling a time commitment.  At the end of your presentation there will be a question and answer time where classmates will ask you more about your topic, be prepared.
3-Answer the questions. "Who cares?"and" Why is this important to us?"- We don't want a cut and paste from google.com here.  Think, explore, make this interesting and relevant.  All of the topics have something to offer beyond a boring string of facts.  Don't be lazy.
4-Make it a learning experience for the class.  Each presentation will probably need a list of key vocabulary to begin with so that we can all understand what your presentation is about.
